Proscenio Teatro
(Proscenio Theater Company from Italy)
Proscenio Teatro is one of the most stable and active companies in Marche region (Central Italy) in terms of theatre productions, children’s theatre and acting education.
The company is supported by the Marche Region and the Italian Ministry of Culture and has been promoting theatre culture in the region and beyond for years.
Proscenio also has a continuous program of acting education for Children (7-12 y.o.), Young Adults (13-18 y.o.), Adults 18+ and Seniors 60+, that sum up to 90-100 participants each year on average.
Proscenio Teatro collaborates with the municipalities of Porto San Giorgio and Fermo on artistic, social and educational projects, organizing reviews, producing ad hoc shows for the initiatives of the administrations, offering its contribution in the field of social services (workshops for immigrants, children, adolescents and families in difficulty). It has also been collaborating for years with schools in the area (e.g., ISC Nardi in Porto San Giorgio and ITIS Montani in Fermo).
In addition to the already mentioned “Shakespeare nel parco” festival, another relevant project is EPOS, a mini summer festival dedicated to the exploration of the great classics in an evocative setting that is perfectly suited to host mythical and millenary stories.
One of the objectives of this festival is to promote the incredible historical location of Rocca Tiepolo, transforming it into a cultural container particularly suited to enhance performances and works centered on the eternal classical myths that, although thousands of years apart, always allow us to better understand human nature and the world we live in.
The title of the festival, EPOS, emphasizes the rediscovery of the great epic poems, or rather the poetic narration of great heroic gestures that are transformed into immortal stories, thanks to the inseparable combination of lyrical impulses, great adventures, philosophy and entertainment.
Thanks to the support of the Municipality of Porto San Giorgio, as well as to the contribution of AMAT (a regional theatre association), Proscenio also organizes SOTTO_PASSAGGI, a review aiming at enhancing forms of contemporary theatre.
The shows chosen by the artistic director Stefano Tosoni come from companies of great professionals, both regional and national.
Alongside the big names, there are many talented and determined professionals who fight every day in the hope of giving someone a story, a tear or a smile.
At an absolutely affordable price, it is possible to enjoy excellent works that have already received regional and national acclaim and recognition: a unique opportunity and one of the most interesting and original cultural proposals in the region.
As lead partner, Proscenio will coordinate and manage the entire project, organizing the periodic meetings for the whole partnership and taking care of the internal communication, making sure that all the relevant information flows within the partnership precisely and in due time. It will coordinate the methodology development and the best practices exchange activities. The lead partner will also be in charge of organizing its events (once a year) in Fermo.
As lead partner, Proscenio will be entrusted with the dissemination of project results, with the help of a communication manager for the creation of a strong and comprehensive communication campaign.
Its main expertise lies in the promotion of theatre at all levels, stating from children’s workshops, and the involvement of local communities.

Commune De Saint-Germain-En-Laye
Saint-Germain-En-Laye Municipality from France
Alexandre Dumas Theatre is the result of many historical and cultural modifications that happened over the centuries in the Municipality of Saint-Germain-En-Laye (SGL).
In 1846 the theatre was restored and managed by Alexandre Dumas himself and in 1864 the ownership was transferred to the municipality.
The actual “Alexandre Dumas” municipal theatre was inaugurated on January 28th , 1989 and is known for its rich and multidisciplinary activity including theatre, different types of dance, circus, comedy, music, all organized in indoor classical scenes, but recently more often in unexpected outdoor contexts (like the Royal Castle garden, different squares etc.).
During the last 4 years, the theatre has been hosting the “Opera en plein air” (Outdoor opera) Festival on the Royal Domain and in 2021 it initiated the “Saint Germain En Live” street art festival (including all kind of theatre, dance and music shows in public spaces).
All these alternative events are conceived to open up and offer art for new audiences, making it more sustainable and better contribute to the liveness and livability of the public space and of the city in general.
Through the involvement in this project proposal, besides enabling artists’ and art exchanges, SGL will further develop alternative cultural events fostering urban regeneration and prosperity and will support the replicability and scale up of the most promising experiences.
The Alexandre Dumas Theatre, in close cooperation with the Municipality of SGL as its manager, will participate in the methodology development and best practices exchange activities, providing specific insights thanks to its profile of local public stakeholder in addition to cultural institution.
As project partner, it will also be in charge of organizing one edition of the “Saint Germain En Live” street art festival.
